I’m Maurene the visionary behind Taking Care of Mom and Me. I’m dedicated to educating and supporting caregivers of family members with dementia.
I share with you what I learned about dementia and what I learned about myself being a full-time caregiver for my mom. Because let me tell you something… ( in your fire marshall Bill voice) I had no idea what I was in for! So if you “signed up” to be a caregiver… you know “signed on the dotted line” and you’re not sure what you signed up for… and let’s be honest, at one time or another we all signed or clicked accept and not decline, without reading it…that is my life. But guess what I had to learn how to deal with it without losing my mind! (up in here… up in here) My mission is to offer you inspiration, support, tips, resources, and information to help you deal with being a caregiver to someone with Dementia.
